We've had very little in the way of severe summer weather, and temps are fairly uniform oscillating between the 60s and 70s, and that looks to continue through the holiday weekend. For today, some filtered or hazy sunshine is expected, and any morning patchy fog will burn off as the sun rises. Highs will reach the upper 60s to mid 70s, and a few isolated showers are expected, similar to yesterday. These will die out quickly with sunset, and I encourage all of you to look west well before midnight before the moon sets to catch a planetary conjunction of Mars, the Moon and Venus. I do like that the stars of Pollux and Castor will be in the mix as well, given that two southern Amherst hills were named after them. Skies should be mostly clear with lows in the 40s and a light south wind. For Wednesday, we should get some sunshine in earlier on in the day before clouds build into the region with highs in the mid to upper 70s. A cold front will come slicing southeast through northern New York and Vermont by early afternoon, which should spread a fairly contiguous line of showers and embedded thunderstorms into the region. These will first arrive in SVT and the northern Berkshires / Taconics by 4pm or so, and then track through much of WMass around dinner time, clearing northeast CT and the Worcester metro by 9-10pm. Lows will become chilly with north wind working into the region, dropping temps into the mid 30s to low 40s. Thursday and Friday look sunny and lovely, but cooler with highs only in the 60s on Thursday. Some areas in SVT may not even break 60º! By Friday, some of us in the valley south and east should crest the 70º mark. Then we turn to the upcoming holiday weekend. For now, it looks like high pressure will keep storminess at bay, and shunted south of New England, so let's hope that comes to pass! However, there are still some potential for showers to materialize later in the weekend, so stay tuned for updates as we get closer! The temps look awesome, with highs in the 70s and lows in the 40s to near 50º. Overall to date, I can't remember a nicer Spring than this one. I hope you have a great day and that things go your way! >>> BE KIND <<< “Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you've got to be kind.” --Kurt Vonnegut
