DHTWN REMINDER:
There’s a lot of to be distraught about these days, but life goes on, keeps moving, flowing, and willing itself onward. We’re a manifestation and part of that life force, but it goes way beyond us and we’re lucky to be a part of it, even if things aren’t going well. Remember, there’s always a chance things might improve. If you’re struggling, I hope things go better for you today, and I say stay open to the chance that they will – the mind craves certainty, so let’s try to stay open.

MORNING DISCUSSION
Good morning folks, after our freeze yesterday morning the next weather item up for bid is a much needed swath of showers moving into the region Saturday morning and lasting through the afternoon and night.
Before we jump into that piece, we deal with the only day we’ll ever truly have, which is TODAY.
And this today is going to be lovely with sunshine, highs in the upper 60s to low 70s, and a southerly breeze that will kick up at times.
Clouds will build into the region later, and more so overnight into early Saturday morning as a coastal low lifts northeast off of the Mid-Atlantic coastline and tracks northeast with a cold front sweeping in right behind it from the west. Lows will drop to either side of 50º.
First showers will arrive (depending on where you are in the region) between 9am and noon tomorrow.
The track of the coastal low will be such that the heavier precipitation will be generated over easternmost parts of WMass, CMass, northeast CT and the rest of southeast New England.
Less rain will fall west of the Pioneer Valley where lighter or more showery precipitation is expected (with some lulls possible tomorrow afternoon). About a quarter to half an inch or so should fall west of the valley, with a half inch to 1″+ along and east of the CT River.
Highs will be a bit cooler and only reach the upper 50s to mid 60s with patchy fog possible as well. Lows again will drop to either side of 50º as rain quits after midnight.
Any early morning showers or clouds will vamoose to the east with sunshine developing on Sunday, which will definitely be the weekend pick!
Highs should climb into the upper 60s to mid 70s with lows in the mid to upper 40s.
Thereafter we’ll enter into a long stretch of fair, sunny, and seasonably delightful Spring weather with plenty of sun, highs generally in the 70s, lows near 50º, and a potential to reach 80º for some on Wednesday, with no additional rain in sight at the moment.
I hope you have a great day and that things go your way!
BE KIND
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
