YOUR WEEKLY WEATHER NUTSHELL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
–Periods of showers or drizzle continue to work into the region this morning
–An isolated t-storm is possible by this afternoon
–Highs reach the mid/upper 60s
–Showers diminish by late afternoon
–Lows tonight dip into the low to mid 50s as low pressure makes a closer approach to Long Island, NY
–Said low pushes steadier rainfall after midnight tonight up to about the level of the Route 2 corridor, witht much lighter precip north of there for Thursday morning
–Highs Thursday again in the mid/upper 60s and lows in the 50s
–Low pressure drops southeast and away from New England, pulling rain shield with it by late Thursday or Thursday evening
–A lovely partly sunny day develops for Friday with highs in the low to mid 70s, and lows in the low to mid 50s
–Still some uncertainty for the weekend as a second low pressure area and associated upper trough swings into the Mid-Atlantic, passing south of us by Sunday
–This at least socks us into the clouds over the weekend, and may bring a few showers by late Saturday night into Sunday, but we may remain dry
–Highs will be in the 60s with onshore flow continuing off the western Atlantic Ocean
–By early next week, fair weather may develop and if so, temps could soar into the 70s under partly to mostly sunny skies before a potential cold front brings more showers on Wednesday
YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning everybody, the next 36 hours or so will be cloudy and wet at times with a brief lull tonight.
Scattered showers and a thunderstorm today gives way to a steadier rainfall pushing north due to low pressure exiting the Jersey coastline by tomorrow morning, before it is forced south and a\eay from us due to ridging to the north, which then brings a lovely Friday our way with highs in the low to mid 70s.

Again, please see the Nutshell section above for temps and details, but the bottom line is that as we move into the weekend, another upper low (the first one is bringing us our wet weather today/tomorrow) will be swinging east out of the Ohio Valley.
This likely keeps us cloudy through the weekend, with a chance at a few showers by late Saturday into Sunday, but this system more likely than not tracks far enough south to keep wet weather mostly if not entirely south of the greater WMass region.
Early next week is looking warmer, sunny, and lovely, with some signals for a warm-up, but at the same time I am watching potential for a cold frontal boundary to sweep east, draped off of a storm passing to our north for mid-week.
That feature could bring some showers our way, but for now, no washouts are expected, though tomorrow morning, especially south of the Pike, could produce a stratiform semi-soaking rain for some.
Have a great day!
>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
