YOUR WEEKLY WEATHER NUTSHELL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
–A warm front passed through overnight with a few showers mainly north of Rt. 2 in SVT/SWNH
–Morning clouds will break up as the lower atmosphere mixes well resulting in mostly sunny skies developing
–Highs will reach the mid 70s to low 80s, accompanied by a pollen spike
–Southwest breezes usher in some low instability with high pressure to our south
–This could produce some isolated showers or a thunderstorm late today into the night
–Lows wil drop to the mid to upper 50s
–For Wednesday, an upper trough slowly tracks east to the U.S. coastline, and spawns a surface low
–This pushes clouds into our region for much of the day, especially south of the Rt. 2 corridor, with perhaps a few sunny breaks north of there
–Scattered showers are expected at times Wed and possibly into Thursday, mixed with dry periods, and continued uncertainty as to how far north that low center comes Wednesday into Thursday
–Highs both days (and for Friday, too, actually) should settle in the mid 60s to low 70s, with Friday being more solidly around or “north” of 70º, and lows in the 50s
–Friday definitely looks drier as that surface low tracks east and out to sea, only to replaced by another upper low swinging east for the weekend, when additional scattered showers are possible
–Saturday looks more cloudy then Sunday at the moment, but scattered showers and highs either side of 70º remain forecast until further refinements can be made closer in
–Any way you slice it, you can see that our seasonable, and mild-impact weather continues
YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning everybody, our string of mostly pedestrian weather continues as a warm front has passed through the region, allowing southwest breezes to develop this morning, which will eventually mix out these clouds and pump up a warm and sunny day with highs in the mid 70s to low 80s, so get out and enjoy if you can!
With a bit of humidity we’ll muster some isolated showers or a thunderstorm or two later today and tonight.
While the Nutshell better covers daily details, the general broad brush view is we’ll deal with two upper lows: one Wed/Thurs, and another over the weekend, and in each instance, scattered showers mixed with dry periods is reasonable to expect for now.
The Wed/Thurs system may be suppressed south by a departing upper level ridge, such that we could see little to even no rain, but I do think we’ll see some showers at times tomorrow through Thursday, more likely south of the MassPike.
The weekend is murkier, but if we’re looking at the period from today through the weekend, today and Friday are the brightest picks of the bunch in terms of fair, dry, warm weather conditions.
I hope you have a great day!
>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
