SALIENT SUMMARY OF NUT NOTABLES
–Very warm today, but it only lasts one day (cripes!)
–Showers arrive Tuesday by mid day, and last into the evening. Rainfall will be generally on the light side
–Mild and fair conditions arrive for Wed and Thurs
–Some showers on Friday precedes a cooler, fair, but still above-average weekend

DAILY DISH AND DISCUSSION
The big weather news story is the highly anomalous and unseasonable late winter warmth on tap for today under mostly sunny skies.
It’s going to be an amazing day to get outside, take a walk, do something, even if it’s for 10 minutes.
Soak it up, folks!
While highs will sit in the low to mid 60s in the high terrain, the valley areas in WMass, CMass and down into northern CT should generally see temps soar into the 65-70º range, especially in northern CT. We may even see some legit low 70s down that way today! Southwest breezes may kick up 20mph gusts at times.
For tonight, high clouds will build into the region, and then lower and thicken toward dawn. Lows will be in the low 40s.
For Tuesday, a storm system will track to our northwest and drag a cold frontal boundary through our region later Tuesday night.
Light rain showers are expected Tuesday, beginning either side of the noon hour and lasting into the evening. We should generally only see a tenth up to three-tenths of an inch of rain from this, as the quantity of moisture will dry out a bit as it presses into the western periphery of departing high pressure headed out to sea.
Highs will be in the upper 50s to low 60s with lows in the upper 30s to near 40º.

For Wednesday and Thursday, we’ve got some uncertainty with which to contend.
Wednesday into early Wednesday evening looks fair, with partly sunny skies and highs behind the cold front in the upper 40s to low 50s, with lows in the upper 20s to low 30s.
There is a chance for a weak wave to blow through and bring some mixed snow and rain showers late Wednesday night, but I will have to update as we get closer.
For Thursday, any weak disturbance action that may have visited us Wednesday night will keep trucking to our east in the fast zonal (i.e. west to east) flow.
Expect highs in the upper 40s to low 50s under partly sunny skies with lows in the low to mid 30s.
For Friday, more light rain showers are possible with similar temperatures. A cooler weekend looks to follow with highs in the 40s, lows in the upper 20s, and more sunshine on Saturday than Sunday.
