Good morning everybody, we’ve got a chilly and blustery day on the way compared to averages this time of year, but The Mildening is coming this week, despite the potential for a couple of late-March mischief makers in the hilltowns, notably next Saturday and the following Tuesday. These could turn into nothing-burgers, but they keep showing up in guidance so I’ve got my floater-filled eyes on them.

SUMMARY
–Mostly sunny early with clouds building during the day, partly sunny on average, more clouds than sun later
–Blustery, westerly winds gust 25-40mph, producing wind chills in the teens!
–Highs in the upper 20s to low/mid 30s
–A few scattered snow showers possible later this afternoon
–Wind die down a bit, but breezes to 20mph still possible with lows in the upper teens to low 20s
–High pressure moves from TX today to south of us by later tomorrow, producing highs into the mid to upper 40s with southerly flow
–Lows Monday night in the mid to upper 20s
–Tuesday and Wednesday look like the PICK OF MARCH, with highs upper 40s to mid 50s and plenty of sunshine with high pressure, and lows near freezing
–Late week may feature two fast-moving systems that will bring periods of rainfall and clouds each day
–Highs will be even milder during this period, well into the 50s, and northern CT may reach 60º!
–We don’t really totally clear out over the weekend as another system moves in, and this one (depending on its arrival) may produce some wet snow mixed with sleet or rain in the high terrain Saturday night into early Sunday morning
–We get a break on Monday, then another storm with some high-terrain winter potential is possible for Tuesday

Have a great day, and if you rely on my work and haven’t had a chance yet, I’m asking you to contribute today to my annual support drive before next Sunday (just 1 week) so I can continue this daily local weather reporting service throughout 2023.

You’re the ones that keep this digital lighthouse lit year to year, and I’m only halfway to the goal.

I hope I can count on you, even $10 or $2/month helps, thank you.
