YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning folks, we’ve got several of my patented-not-pending BoreCasts(TM) on the way over the next week, roughly, as an upper level trough sort of slowly slides in and sits on us like a patient mother hen.
Except in this case, our atmospheric mother hen won’t be warming us beneath her underside, but cooling us due to lower than average pressures aloft.
After a mild weekend with a partly sunny today, and some Sunday morning showers with partial sunshine by tomorrow afternoon, this cooling effect at the surface next week will be accompanied by frigid temps aloft.
This gradient between cool surface temps and much colder temps aloft will set up some modest instability beneath the upper trough and allow for enough rising air to produce isolated, pop-up rain or snow showers any time Monday through Wednesday (better chance Tuesday, and especially Wednesday).
So even though the Vernal Equinox (a/k/a “Spring”) moves through this Tuesday night, don’t put away the cool weather gear just yet!
Have a great day and if you depend on my work throughout the seasons whether mild or wild, I’m asking for whatever comfortable contribution you can make to help sustain my service at the secure link below so I can continue through 2024… even $5 helps, thank you…
>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
