Good morning everybody, we’ve got a GORGEOUS set of three consecutive, cool, sunny days on tap, and I would encourage you to get out in nature and breathe some fresh air (although if you bushwhack off the beaten path, check for ticks!).

For today, high pressure will build from the west-southwest, while low pressure continues to strengthen and launch northeast in Canada. This will keep up a westerly wind gusting up to 30mph or so at times today under mostly sunny skies.

Expect highs in the upper 40s to low 50s with lows in the 20s and northwest winds gusting to 20mph or so as they slowly slacken with high pressure tracking closer to New England and relaxing the pressure gradient.

For Sunday, a colder day is expected, with highs in the upper 30s to mid 40s under mostly sunny skies with lows in the low to mid teens as winds become light and radiational cooling is optimized.

On more sunny day for Monday can be looked forward to, with highs in the low to mid 40s and lows in the upper 20s with clouds building in at night.

“Dave Hayes the weather nut provides a huge service for our community. I am grateful every day for his accuracy, passion, dedication, humor, poetry, and empathy. New England weather is unpredictable. It’s comforting to have a true sense of what’s coming up, without the typical hype. I’ll be sending in my donation to help him keep on doing what he does, which is invaluable.” – Valerie B.

A frontal boundary will push into the region late Monday night, and bring some snow showers in the pre-dawn hours of Tuesday morning, turning to rain as the daylight hours wear on.

Any snow showers change to scattered rain showers on Tuesday as highs climb into the mid to upper 40s. Showers will quit at night as the frontal boundary pulls away from New England. Lows will fall to near freezing.

Wednesday looks like a lull between systems, as the late week period is looking more showery, and milder by Friday with highs into the 50s by that time. The weekend may feature inclement weather as well, and I will update you as we get closer with details on what to expect.

Enjoy this wonderful day, and if you rely on my work, I’m asking you to support it today before next Sunday’s deadline with a small budget-friendly donation that recurs each month (more info below, thank you!)
