WEATHER REPORT
Good morning everybody, welcome back to another edition of The Human Circus we’re all starring in, never a dull moment in the land of the mammals with pre-frontal cortices combined with and producing all manner of energetic cross-currents… kinda like the Cosmos of which we’re a part.

I think I may start including the Vonnegut quote that I’m reminded of today at the daily morning post’s conclusion.

Anyway, weather! It’s still happening! The grand atmospheric interface between Earth and Cosmos!

For today, we’ve got some last bands of rain showers moving east through the region, and then we’re going to break the cloud deck up later and get some sunshine in here, probably before noon.

It will be humid today behind the warm front with dewpoints in the 60s, and highs in the mid 70s to low 80s from north to south in the greater WMass region. With south winds gusting to 20mph at times, it’ll turn into a nice, late Spring into early summer kind of day.

For tonight, clouds thicken back up as a more potent and strengthening storm will track northeast through PA and NY and head straight for southern VT and central/northern NH.

This will usher in even more moisture-rich air and produce copious lift (i.e. rising air) which will develop some heavy rain showers starting near dawn Thursday morning and lasting all morning, quitting by early to mid afternoon.

While we received about a tenth to half an inch of rain overnight from this first system, tomorrow’s system looks to dump more, on the order of an additional half to two inches of rain.

In fact, some downpours and thunderstorms may produce street flooding or even an isolated flash flooding situation, so stay tuned for updates.

Finally, a few trailing/departing showers are possible between 3-7pm before it all departs northeast and away.

Highs Thursday will reach the upper 60s to mid 70s with much more cloud cover than today, and lows will sit down in the low 50s as we clear out.

Friday will see a brief high pressure visitation, which will produce a mostly sunny day with highs well into the 70s, so we’re looking at a killer end to the week. Lows will drop into the low to mid 50s.

The weekend looks mixed weather-wise, with mostly cloudy skies, some dry periods, but also a chance for showers Saturday afternoon/evening into the overnight, and possibly lasting into Sunday morning.

The coastal storm responsible may end up affecting more southeastern areas like southern CMass and northeast CT with a farther out to sea track, but I will update you as we get closer. Highs look to be in the upper 60s to 70s both days with lows in the 50s.

We should be increasingly drying out Monday into Tuesday with highs in the 70s, but a few showers are still possible for Monday.

I’ll leave you today with my favorite quote by Kurt Vonnegut…

“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
