WEATHER REPORT
Good morning everybody, we continue to evade any heat waves, super humid weather, or severe weather for the moment, so that’s something we can appreciate today.
As for our current weather, we’ve got high pressure building south through the region today and tomorrow, which will bestow us with a pair of beauties, following our gorgeous weekend.
It just doesn’t get better than the past two days in southern New England in early June, folks!
Highs today under mostly sunny skies will reach the mid 70s to low 80s with lower humidity and light west wind. Lows tonight will dip into the 50s, lower to the north, higher to the south.
For Tuesday, we’ll start off with a mostly sunny day, and hopefully we’ll get some high clouds in here for a nice sunrise.
Clouds will build during the day as a warm front approaches, which is connected with an upper level trough that will be sticking around for a bit this week, and bowling rainy waves at us every other day starting Tuesday night.
So, we get a mostly fair weather day on Tuesday with highs in the mid 70s to low 80s with southerly winds gusting 20-30mph ahead of the front, followed by first showers arriving sometime between 7-10pm in the evening.
Showers will continue overnight with lows in the upper 50s to low 60s as humidity increases a bit.
Wednesday morning looks quite rainy, and potentially convective with thunderstorms possible, a few of which may be on the strong side.
We should clear the shower activity out of here by mid to late morning, but I’ll update you on this possibility for a rockin’ Wednesday morning.
Highs Wednesday will reach the mid to upper 70s under mostly cloudy skies, with some isolated showers possible in the afternoon. Lows Wednesday night will similarly dip into the upper 70s to low 80s as more rain moves back into the region.
Another storm system will be approaching the Mid-Atlantic and should run through CT and RI into southeast MA on Thursday morning, which would produce a solid slug of rainfall (remember, Slugga Rain is by boxing handle in another parallel Universe).
Highs Thursday will rise into the low to mid 70s with rain quitting by evening, and with low dropping into the low to mid 50s as we clear out and dry up.
All in all, we should hopefully see either side of an inch of rain through Friday, which would be most welcome.
Speaking of Friday, another fair weather day like today is on the way with highs in the mid to upper 70s under mostly sunny skies and lows in the 50s.
The weekend is uncertain in that the timing of the next system is a bit unclear.
However, it does look like sometime between Saturday afternoon night and Sunday morning we will see some more rainfall with another coastal storm working through the region.
I hope you have a great day!
