WEATHER REPORT
Good morning everybody, before I get going I just wanted to send a quick shout out to the folks who get overwhelmed in life. I’ve historically been this type of person, and in watching my mind this morning go “oh yeah, there’s that thing I haven’t gotten to in over a year still” and feeling defeated by it, I’m realizing I can reframe it and say “I don’t yet know when I’ll get to it, but when I do, I’ll figure it out, get it done, and it’ll feel good when I do”.

A considerable part of quality of life seems to be how you manage what’s happening between your ears. I’m sure most alpha folks, executives and most parents are like “duh”, but I just thought maybe this would be helpful for one person to hear.

Moving along to the weather, we have a light rain shield moving east through the region this morning with a few moderate bursts with drier air moving in behind it.

Patchy fog has formed, but it hasn’t been too dense, and it will evaporate by 9am or so where it has formed. Showers will blow out of here by 10am-ish, and overcast skies will break up into partly to mostly sunny skies depending on where you are located in the greater WMass region.

Highs will rise into the upper 60s to 70s for the most part with light wind. A second trailing wave of showers with a thunderstorm or two will fire over central and southern VT and track southeast into southwest NH, eastern Franklin County and northern Worcester County by mid to late afternoon, where more of a partly sunny sky on average is expected today. A couple of showers may form in MA or CT as well.

All of this activity quits after sunset, and lows will drop down into the upper 40s to mid 50s from north to south as skies clear.

Saturday looks gorgeous and mostly sunny with highs in the low to mid 70s, however a weak front will be working through the region, and could spark some clouds and an isolated shower along and north of the Rt. 2 corridor. Lows will be chilly, dropping into the low to upper 40s under clear skies.

For Sunday and Monday, high pressure builds into the region behind the weak front which will produce optimal conditions for outdoor activities with highs in the low to mid 70s Sunday and the mid to upper 70s on Monday. Lows will be in the low 50s each night under partly cloudy skies.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Alex will be tracking over the state of Florida bringing heavy rain and some wind to that region, and then entering the Atlantic Ocean, eventually positioned north of the Bahamas.

Given that we’ll have a cold front slicing into the region driven by an upper low over the Great Lakes, this is a favorable setup to push that tropical low further out to sea and away from New England, so no worries there.

However, we’ll be dealing with showers by Tuesday afternoon and evening into Wednesday, with another round of showers possible Wednesday into Thursday.

Highs will reach the mid to upper 70s with lows in the 50s.

No washouts and no warm-ups are expected with few cresting the 80º mark during the first week of June.

I hope you have a great day!
