Early Thursday morning showers possible.
TODAY’S DATE: Wednesday, June 15, 2022
Good morning folks, aside from some weak patchy fog in the northern Berkshires and a few other spots, any fog will be evaporating in short order with a lovely Wednesday ahead. This, however, will be followed by a few periods of showers and/or thunderstorms Thursday morning through Friday afternoon before we cool things down and dry things out for the weekend into next week, but before we dive into all of the weather details below, let’s check a note from our local and delicious sponsor, #TandemBagelCo, with a new location in West Springfield, MA.

WEATHER REPORT
Good morning everybody, we’re still suspended within and swinging through the cosmic firmament, sailing the Seas of Space, and traveling without a destination, forever and ever.
Pretty incredible that we can know that, and have conscious awareness of it.
Anyway, as we float back to the place on Earth called southwestern New England, we’ll see that we’ve got another sweet period of starlight in which to be bathed, thanks to high pressure at the surface which will track from northern NY into northern New England as an upper level ridge approaches the east coast.
Aside from a few periods of clouds, this fair weather setup should produce mostly sunny skies with highs rising into the upper 70s to low 80s.
Humidity will remain low for one more day/night, and low temps will bottom out in the 55-60º range as clouds build.
In fact, we could see a few scattered showers well after midnight and into the very early morning hours of Thursday.
Expect any showers early tomorrow morning to abate, though clouds may linger for a bit until we get some sunshine to develop by late morning or early afternoon, which will push highs into the mid to upper 70s.
In addition, given that our high pressure area will be pushing east of us, we’ll get more humid air being directed by said high pressure north and into the greater WMass region, with southerly wind gusts blowing up to 25mph at times, which should last through Thursday night, and even into Friday.
Lows with our surging humidity will only settle into the low to mid 60s, and another round of showers is likely overnight into the pre-dawn hours of Friday morning. Some showers may be heavy.
Then we turn to Friday, when we should see some partial sunshine develop in this humid air mass after any overnight showers, with highs rising into the upper 70s to mid 80s.
If enough sun develops, we could even see some southern valley areas in MA and CT top out in the upper 80s!
By afternoon, a cold front will be approaching the region from the west. Wind gusts should continue to blow 25mph out of the south.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms, some of which may become strong, are expected by mid to late afternoon, possibly lasting into the early evening before quitting.
Lows Friday night will tamp down into the 50s as we clear out and dry out, and by Saturday, many of us won’t even reach the 70º mark with highs in the mid to upper 60s!
Aside from a stray shower, Saturday should be dry with partly sunny skies and lows in the upper 40s to low 50s.
Sunday is the pick of the weekend (even though it all looks good!) with mostly sunny skies, dry conditions, and highs in the upper 60s to mid 70s, with lows again in the upper 40s to low 50s.
We’ll get another fine day in for Monday with highs in the low to mid 70s under mostly sunny skies, with a chance for a few showers on Tuesday, again with highs in the 70s.
Still no big warm-ups (aside from Friday) or big severe weather events on the horizon, though do stay tuned for updates for storm potential on Friday afternoon.
That’s all for now, peeps! Have a great day, and remember…
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
