A boundary is passing east through the region, already into the western hilltowns, and as that passes east, we begin to dry up toward the 8-10am timeframe. Partial sunshine will develop and highs will climb well into the 70s with a few afternoon showers possible. We received anywhere from a tenth to half an inch of rain overnight, so it's better than nothing. For tonight, skies will be partly cloudy with lows in the 50s for the most part, with some upper 40s in SVT and far northwest MA. Wednesday is the day I'm watching most closely, as we'll start with partly sunny skies early and cloud up by afternoon as a squall line approaches the region connected to our Great Lakes upper low which is going to track east toward New England by end of week. This line will tracking southwest to northeast which is always a direction that can produce bowing echoes with some isolated damaging wind gusts, if the atmospheric elements align. I do expect a period of showers and thunderstorms to sweep into the region by mid-afternoon, and while wind is the primary threat for tomorrow, heavy rain and lightning along with street flooding are possible, with hail a secondary impact. Highs will again be in the 70s tomorrow and activity should wind down by around midnight with lows in the 50s. To be honest, every day from Thursday through Sunday and even into early next week will feature some measure of instability enough such that scattered showers will be possible and are expected each day. While Thursday looks drier, Friday looks the wettest in that period as a cold front moves into the region. The weekend looks mixed: partly sunny skies, overcast periods with showers, and highs in the 70s, and this should extend into early next week. So, no big warm ups, not much in the way of severe weather potential (Wednesday and Friday do have my quivering hairy eyeball on each day... a nice morning image for you, I know), but some periods of needed rainfall as we head toward the Summer Solstice with our daylight peaking toward that magical 15 hours and 15 minutes of max daylight here in the WMass region, we're just about there! Have a great day! >>> BE KIND <<< “Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you've got to be kind.” --Kurt Vonnegut
