For tonight, we're watching a frontal boundary lift northeast through our region with showers and thunderstorms developing along that broad area of atmospheric lifting. Said boundary is draped well southeast of a low center over the Great Lakes. Once that blows through, we'll dry out by Tuesday afternoon, and it will continue to be warm. By Wednesday, though, our upper low will be more closely positioned over the eastern Great Lakes, and will be siphoning moist southerly flow up the eastern seaboard into New England. Temps aloft will be cooling quite a bit as the upper presses east, moisture will advect from the south, and the spin/vorticity of a wave moving into our region will all combine to produce a period of potentially strong to severe thunderstorms. It's still a couple of days out, but that's are biggest potential weather impact over the next 7 days, so please stay tuned for updates, and I hope you have a great day! Again, lots of summary and other info above in the Nutshell and Terrestrials sections. >>> BE KIND <<< “Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you've got to be kind.” --Kurt Vonnegut
