Western Mass Regional Weather for July 31, 2022

Good morning everybody, another short and sweet post this morning with mostly fair weather in the forecast.

Tuesday holds the chance for a few showers or a thunderstorm, and then we really heat up Thursday, but a heat wave is looking less likely now. We also have a chance for showers and thunderstorms, some of which may be come strong or severe late Thursday into Friday.

Aside from that, it’s fair weather much of the way, and nothing outlandish or outrageous of note in the greater WMass region.

For today, any morning fog burns off with highs getting up and into the low to mid 80s with mostly sunny skies expected, and low humidity. Lows will bottom out near 60º.

For Monday, it’ll again top out in the low to mid 80s under mostly sunny skies, though humidity will start creeping up late Monday into Tuesday.

For Tuesday, highs will climb well into the 80s with southerly flow ahead of a frontal boundary. Some areas may reach 90º. Afternoon showers or thunderstorms are possible, but will likely be widely scattered and not severe. Lows in the low to mid 60s.

For Wednesday, warming flow brings us into the 85-90º range under mostly sunny skies with lows in the 60s.

Thursday is the super hot day with highs in the low to mid 90s and very humid ahead of a cold front approaching the region. Heat indices may reach 100º or so, but only for a day.

In addition, we’ll have to watch for scattered afternoon strong to severe thunderstorms.

By Friday, we should start to cool a bit, but it’s early August so highs will still be in the 80s with similar temps for Saturday.

Have a great day!
