YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning everybody, I hope you had a nice weekend, and aside from an isolated cluster of showers each afternoon, it was largely dry affair for many of us.
As for our weather going forward, we’ve got one more mostly dry day today, although humidity is going to be increasing as a stalled boundary becomes a warm front and tracks north.
This will help develop a few scattered showers and maybe a thunderstorm later this afternoon and evening with highs in the low to mid 80s.
Overnight, lows will dip into the mid 60s, and a shortwave from our south will begin a northeast track somewhere along the southern coastline, which will help develop a larger band of showers and rainfall into the greater WMass region through early Tuesday morning, with the heaviest rain south of the Pike.
Morning Tuesday showers should give way to a lull by mid to late morning, but more showers will likely develop during the afternoon at times, with highs either side of 80º.
More scattered showers are expected Tuesday night with lows in the 60s.
Then we turn to Wednesday and Thursday when some additional energy will be rotating through the region in the form of a shortwave Wednesday, and a cold front on Thursday.
Both situations will provide ample moisture and instability to help generate scattered showers, downpours and thunderstorms with highs in the mid to upper 70s Wednesday, and the low to mid 80s on Thursday.
In addition, some storms may become strong to even severe, and I will update as we get closer.
The cold front will clear our region by Thursday night, and sunshine should develop Friday through the weekend, but that will be partially due to high pressure to our south, which will turn the heat and humidity machine to the on position, which will push highs into the 80s, and eventually the mid 80s to low 90s by Sunday as heat and humidity build under partly to mostly sunny skies.
Have a great day!
