YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning everybody, I am not feeling so great this morning, so I am going to just list out the salient weather points into next week.
Remember, I am always available at my website if you need to reach me.
SUMMAH-RY
–Morning showers are winding down, tracking northeast thru the region, and mostly east of -91 at 7am
–Clouds will dominate early, and then we will see some clearing by afternoon
–As the sun comes out later and mixes or turns the lower atmosphere with surface heating, some stronger mid-level winds will greet us
–Given this, southwest gusts of 20-35mph are possible later
–Highs will climb to the 85-90º range
–Lows will dip into the mid to upper 60s under partly cloudy skies on average
–On Friday, humidity will increase a bit as an incoming trough and upcoming wave from the Mid-Atlantic push moisture back into the WMass region
–Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s
–A few showers or a thunderstorm are possible later in the afternoon
–Friday night into Saturday morning is looking showery for many of us, but there will be more uncertainty with this system as small-scale, real-time processes play into who sees a little and who sees a lot of rain
–Some areas may see some street flooding, or isolated areas of flash flooding by Saturday morning, if the heaviest rain sets up
–Lows Friday night will again drop to the mid to upper 60s with lows in the mid 80s on Saturday
–By early to mid afternoon, we should less a lessening of shower activity on Saturday
–Rain quits by evening and lows will again drop into the mid to upper 60s
–Sunday is definitely the pick of the weekend in terms of sunshine, but our Bermuda high will flex again with another round of heat and humidity through at least Tuesday
–Highs will be in the mid 80s to low 90s during this stretch with higher humidity resuming once again, so Heat Advisories will probably need hoisting
–In addition, Monday and Tuesday will likely produce some scattered showers and thunderstorms as well
–By Wednesday or Thursday, a pattern change looks more likely, with a strong cold front slicing into the region
–This could produce a squall line of strong to severe thunderstorms, so I will be intently watching this timeframe
–What it also signals, is a stronger Canadian pushing the Bermuda high further out to sea, and allowing much drier and some cooler air to push in for late next week into that following weekend
That’s how it looks now anyway, I will keep you updated best I can, thanks for being such an incredible audience over these 12+ years, I am so grateful to and for you.
Have a great day!
