YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning everybody, we wake up behind our cold front with temps in the 50s to low 60s and a drying surface atmosphere.
While high pressure over the Great Lakes will be diving southeast toward the Mid-Atlantic region, we still have an upper low over New York state that will track east through New England today.
This ushers in a cold pool of air aloft, and will help produce buoyancy, and so some isolated showers or even a thunderstorm is possible later today as temps come up into the 70s for highs under partly sunny skies as temps aloft cool down.
Any activity dies out with the setting sun and we’ll clear our skies with lows either side of 50º.
Tuesday and Wednesday look beautiful as high pressure crests overhead, producing mostly sunny skies and highs in the low to mid 80s.
Humidity will be lower both days (though starting to rise on Wednesday) and Tuesday lows dip into the 50s and then drop into the low 60s by Wednesday night.
A warm front will approach the region Wednesday night into the 4th of July and bring some scattered showers as humidity increases with highs rising into the mid to upper 80s.
I think the 4th is mostly free of rain, but showers are possible and I will refine that as we get closer. Humidity will be increasing as well, and lows will bottom out in the mid 60s.
The Friday through Sunday period is murky right now, as a frontal boundary, at this point, looks to undulate over the region and so trying to ascertain when we’ll see dry periods, when we’ll see showers or thunderstorms etc. is uncertain (graphic attached shows showers for Saturday morning).
At the very least, it does look quite warm with highs continuing in the mid to upper 80s and some measure of humidity is likely to be present as well.
I hope you have a great day!
>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
