WEEKLY WEATHER NUTSHELL
We have a lovely Sunday coming up with plenty of yellow-white delicious sky orb-iness with some snow showers south of the MA/CT border Monday morning with fair weather quickly following through mid-week with a stormy late-week period that may feature wet snow for some, but before we dive into all of the weather details below, let’s check a note from our new local weekend sponsor, #CranberryHillHealingArts located in Amherst, MA.

***DHTWN DAILY WEATHER REPORT***
——————————————-
Good morning everybody, some days I am bestowed with the 500-mile-up view of life and it strikes me how lucky we are to even have had a chance to be born on this planet in the middle of the Cosmos, spiraling around a galactic center, and to be able to KNOW that we’re suspended in such an etheric firmament, and that we get to be beings that can communicate with each other and love each other and hopefully be additive forces in the world, that in our own small ways can help be constructive and creative.
As we move into this new year, I just want to thank you so much for your readership and support and encouragement and kindness and trust in me and this local online weather resource.
As for our weather, it’s pretty quiet around here through the middle of the upcoming work week.
The only fly in that ointment (and it is more of a flea than a fly) is the chance for a period of light snow in northern CT tomorrow morning, which could provide some coatings for some towns, especially in the southern parts of Hartford, Tolland and Windham Counties in CT.
Today will be sunny, and feature light west wind with highs in the mid to upper 30s with lows in the upper teens to low 20s with clouds increasing, especially in southern MA and northern CT.
For Monday, we start off cloudy south of the Pike, and mostly cloudy with some sun north of the Pike in the morning, with decreasing clouds in the afternoon, along with a period of snow showers Monday morning south of the MA/CT border.
Highs will reach the mid 30s to low 40s with lows in the mid 20s as we clear things out.
Tuesday and Wednesday look partly sunny with high pressure around, and a reinforcing shot of colder air by mid week. Highs look to reach the mid to upper 30s on Tuesday with lows in the 20s, and only in the low to mid 30s Wednesday with lows in the low 20s.
By Thursday, we are watching the potential for a storm to move in by the evening which could bring some accumulating snow overnight, with a potential change to rain.
The Arctic air is bottled up over northern Russia, and well up into the Arctic, so there’s no Arctic outbreaks available to fuel big snow storms at this point.
This means, the late-week system is likely be another marginal event with a mix of snow and rain, which could last from Thursday evening through Friday night with highs in the 30s and lows in the 20s.
Accumulating snow is definitely on the table as a potential, but it’s still too uncertain to say much more than that, and I will keep you updated as we move closer to that timeframe, but Sunday so far looks like the pick of next week, which would make that two weekends in a row including this one!
Have a great day, and thanks for reading!

AND REMEMBER…
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
