***DHTWN DAILY WEATHER REPORT***
——————————————-
Good morning everybody, I hope that this Sunday (despite its overall lack of Sun) brings to you all manner of brightness of heart, goodness of thought, and wellness of emotion with an enjoyable day ahead.

And now, a haiku:

Arctic hammer time
It approaches, hark! My pipes!
Protect them, I shall

As for our weather, we’ve got some serious Mildening Activities underway for today and tomorrow as highs should rise well into the 40s with southwest flow, and a storm tracking north of us, heading northeast along the NY/Canadian border.

As we know, this keeps us on the mild side of the storm, and with it being so far away from us, it should only result in a few afternoon/evening showers on this mostly cloudy day with highs in the mid to perhaps upper 40s. Southerly or southwesterly winds may gust up to 20mph at times.

For tonight, showers exit east and could end as a few snowflakes at elevation as our lows drop into the upper 20s to low 30s, so for folks in the hills with snow pack more refreezing will take place after melting today, so watch for slick spots out and about.

On Monday we may get a few breaks of sunshine during the first part of the day between weak systems, and again highs should reach the low to mid 40s.

A cold front moves through after sunset, and some scattered rain or snow showers are expected with lows becoming colder and settling into the low to mid 20s.

We then enter into a zonal, west-to-east fair weather pattern Tuesday through the weekend, with only a low chance of some inclement weather mid week, and mostly south of the Pike in CT/RI/SE.MA, if anything.

Partly to mostly sunny skies should prevail with highs in the mid to upper 20s Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs in the low to mid 30s by Thursday with lows in the teens.

Friday will witness the emptying of the Arctic on blustery northwest gusts, so gear up for the coldest air of the season, folks.

Highs will only reach the upper teens to mid 20s and then plummet at night down below zero with the potential for NWS to hoist Wind Chill headlines for a night.

Saturday looks very cold with highs only in the upper singles to mid teens, but at least sunshine should be in effect.

Sunday looks milder, but still cold and then we watch for another storm on Monday, which could be wintry if the storm track and stars align, but I’m not holding my breath the way this winter has gone to date.

AND REMEMBER…
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
