YOUR WEEKLY WEATHER NUTSHELL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
–Cold start in the single digits and teens today with black ice about the region
–Mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper 20s
–Lows drop into the teens tonight as clouds increasee
–Snow showers arrive after midnight from south to north
–Light to moderate snow falls tomorrow a storm passes to our southeast
–Most folks see 2-4″ of snow by Tuesday evening, with some 1-3″ areas mostly relegated to well north of the Rt. 2 corridor in SVT/SWNH further away from the low center
–Highs Tuesday in the mid to upper 20s with lows in the teens as snow quits Tuesday night
–Wednesday and Thursday look to be a bit breezy with partly sunny skies and cold highs in the low to mid 20s, with lows in the teens
–A second light to moderate snowfall looks probably for Friday and Friday with another coastal storm, but uncertainty remains
–This would be followed by a final blustery and cold period next weekend with highs as lows as the upper teens to mid 20s
–Temps should moderate next week as this week’s modified Arctic air mass passes east and northeast out of our region with highs getting up into the 30s to possibly low 40s next week
YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning everybody, the pattern over the next 7 days is fairly simple and straightforward with a cold fair weather Monday, followed by modest but somewhat impactful snowfall of 1-4″ with two fair weather days after it for Tuesday through Thursday, with that three-day pattern repeating once more for Friday through Sunday, with snow potential for Friday.

In other words, it looks like a pretty wintry week ahead before temps come back up by next week sometime.

There’s not a lot of fanfare or big explainers necessary with tomorrow’s storm, in that it will be an east-northeast tracking low that runs under the southeast flank of the upper trough over the Great Lakes.

It’s a pretty weak system, but could be amped up a touch by Tuesday afternoon with a mid-level wave that interacts with the surface low tomorrow for a moderate snow pulse before dark that may impact the evening commute a bit.

I will post more of a weekly discussion late this afternoon with an update on our incoming snowfall, but the bottom line is that tomorrow looks like a pretty snow day with light fluffy snow that may fall more moderately at times.

More later, but for now, have a great day!

>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
