–Otherwise we’re drying with clouds this morning decreasing to mostly sunny skies by afternoon
–From the 20s and 30s will drive temps up into the upper 40s to low 50s with southwest wind gusts of 10-20mph at times
–Mostly clear tonight, with some patchy fog along and south of the Pike with lows either side of 30º
–Tuesday will hopefully start off partly sunny, but clouds will be increasing as southerly flow continues
–Highs will reach the low to mid 50s as we become overcast by evening, with a few scattered showers possible before midnight as a warm front moves through
–Wednesday looks quite wet with periods of rain, sometimes heavy, and strong southerly gusts of 25-40mph developing by afternoon and evening
–Highs will again be in the 50s, and a cold front will approach at night
–This will intensify the rainfall as it comes through at night, and with much colder temps behind it, we should see a change to snow, which may accumulating a coating to 2″ before quitting early Thursday morning
–Strong northwesterlies develop behind the front, gusting 30-45mph on Thursday as temps plummet into the upper 20s to mid 30s for highs under increasingly sunny skies

–This coming weekend, as of now, looks ridiculously beautiful with sunshine and highs in the 50s

YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning everybody, we’ve got seesaw weather developing this week, and The Mildening has officially commenced with an early Spring taste arriving today into the mid week, which will flex again for this coming weekend, after a brief winter bite Thursday into Friday.
We have a weak wave moving through this morning, and despite a spot snow shower, sleet shower, or sprinkle, we will be drying into the afternoon after this moves through with its associated cloudiness.
Sunshine will develop later, with highs climbing to the upper 40s to low 50s with southwest wind gusts of 10-20mph.
For tonight, we should be mostly clear north of the Pike, but along and south of it some patchy fog may develop as humidity increases with southerly flow overnight. Lows will drop to either side of 30º.
For Tuesday, after any fog burns off, morning partial sunshine will give way to increasing clouds as a warm front approaches New England.
Highs should climb into the low to mid 50s, and scattered showers are expected to arrive Tuesday evening before midnight, with lows in the low to mid 40s.
Wednesday has the greater WMass region firmly in the warm sector of a storm far to our north, situated between an already-passed warm front, and an incoming strong cold front.
Highs will again rise to the 50s, but we can expect periods of rainfall all day, and into the night. #TheKinksReference
Rainfall and southerly wind gusts should increase late in the day and the first part of the night, with gusts of 25-40mph possible and heavy rain as the cold front sweeps in.
Around or after midnight, the front will pass and much colder air will swing in behind it, changing rain to snow, and switching wind from the south to out of the northwest, with strong gusts developing of 30-50mph.
It’s gonna be a bit of a tempest in the pre-dawn hours of Thursday morning with potential for a coating to 2″ of wet snow before it quits by dawn, with strong northwest winds continuing into Thursday and temps falling into the 20s.
Thursday will be quick taste of the fleeting winter, with highs in the upper 20s to mid 30s and blustery conditions under sunny skies. Lows will be in the teens with continued gusty winds, bundle up!
Friday features high pressure passing south of us, and turning the wind quickly out of the southwest again, with sunny skies and highs in the upper 30s to mid 40s.
By next weekend?
As Fernando Lamas played by Billy Crystal said back in the mid 80s, it looks mahvelous!!!
Sunshine, highs in the 50s, dry, and with a light wind. It’s many days away, but it sure looks good from this range.
Have a great day, and please remember that whether it’s sunny or stormy, if you depend on this community weather resource, please consider chipping in to support it at the secure link below (options include Cards, PayPal, Venmo, or Check, thank you!)
>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
