–A cold front is moving through the region this morning
–Clouds will be evident just behind it, but we should develop sunshine by afternoon, and clear skies tonight
–Northwest winds will gust 15-30mph this morning, and then slacken before midnight tonight
–Highs reach the mid 20s to low 30s today, and lows will drop to the upper single digits to low teens
–There is a brief window near midnight where wind chills could dip to near 0º
–Winds lighten into Sunday morning as high pressure moves overhead and through the region Sunday
–The weekend pick is Sunday for sure, with sunshine and highs in the mid to upper 30s
–If I were a ski human, I’d plan to go skiing tomorrow!

–Lows Sunday night will dip into the 20s with a spot rain or snow shower possible late at night or on Monday morning
–Partly sunny skies develop in a mild southwest flow with temps climbing into the mid 40s to low 50s
–By Tuesday, we’re climbing further into the low to mid 50s with clouds increasing as we enter the warm sector of a low that passes northwest of us on Wednesday-ish
–Scattered showers will be possible by Tuesday afternoon into the night
–By Wednesday a sharp cold front will be sweeping toward the region, and will increase rainfall chances, with heavy rain possible and southerly wind gusts over 30mph ahead of the front
–Highs should climb well into the 50s, but without any real sun expected, I don’t think we in the WMass region reach the low 60s, but I will keep you updated
–The front sweeps through into the night, and may end as a period of wet snow in the Berkshires, western hilltowns and SVT late Wednesday night
–Late next week becomes more seasonable with highs either side of 40º with drier conditions to end the work week

Good morning everybody, mid and high clouds are sweeping east and out of here, with some low level clouds that may linger a bit more in SVT and northwest MA.
The trend (now that our cold front has passed us to the east) is for decreasing clouds leading to a partly to mostly sunny day by afternoon.
However, northwest winds will gust 15-30mph, so it will be blustery at times with cold highs in the mid 20s to low 30s.
Wind relaxes later this evening, and with clear skies, dry air, and low wind, radiational cooling will maximize bringing us down into the upper single digits to mid teens for lows.
Sunday is by far the weekend pick with lighter wind, sunnier skies, and milder high temps in the mid to upper 30s, and lows in the 20s with increasing clouds and a spot rain or snow shower possible late at night or into early Monday morning.
The spot shower potential is related to a warm frontal passage driven by high pressure tracking southeast of us and driving milder southwest flow into our region for the early to middle of next week timeframe.
Highs on Monday should reach the mid 40s to low 50s under increasingly partly sunny skies, but Tuesday and Wednesday look cloudier and milder with highs well into the 50s.
By Tuesday, we’ll be in the warm sector with a warm front to our east, a cold front to our west, and a mid-latitude cyclone to our north.
This will likely produce scattered showers by Tuesday afternoon into the night.

By Wednesday, the cold front will be approaching and will also siphon moisture from south to north along and just east of it, driving rain, moderate to heavy at times into the greater WMass region, with strong southerly wind gusts possible.
As we enter into Wednesday night, cold air will be sweeping in behind the front, and may flip some of us to wet snow, with light accumulations possible depending on the timing of the front’s arrival, so stay tuned for updates.
This cold front will usher in seasonable/average high temps near 40º as we head into March with mostly sunny skies expected to end the work week.
