YOUR WEEKLY WEATHER NUTSHELL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
–Partly sunny on average with mixed skies today
–Highs mostly in the 30s with a few low 40s in the southern Pioneer Valley down into northern CT
–Lows tonight in the upper teens to 20s
–A weak system moves in and brings a few isolated or scattered snow showers
–Wednesday is cold with highs ini the upper 20s to mid 30s for most of us under partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies
–More clouds east near the Worcester to northeast CT stretch
–Scattered snow showers possible, can’t rule out a dusting in far eastern CT up into the Worcester Metro due to ocean effect
–Wednesday night lows will be coldest for days to come, in the teens to low/mid 20s
–High pressure builds in on Thursday, and also passes south of us through the weekend
–Thursday will be the last cold day in this stretch with highs in the low to mid 30s and lows in the 20s under partly sunny skies
–Friday through Sunday will feature the next episode of “The Mildening” as strong southwest and southerly flow commences due to a Bermuda high forming
–This will drive temps into upper 30s to mid 40s Friday, 40s on Saturday, and upper 40s to mid 50s on Sunday!
–Fair weather will continue Friday and Saturday with increasing sunshine
–Clouds build on Sunday as a potentially powerful storm develops well west of us due to said Bermuda high acting as a bumper to keep it from coming east
–This could unleash copious moisture and strong southerly winds Sunday night into Monday with heavy rain, thunderstorms, and possibly some isolated outages with gusts 35-55mph, but before we talk details let’s check a note from our local and delicious sponsor, #TandemBagelCo, with their newest location in the Stop & Shop Plaza on King Street in Northampton, MA.
YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning folks, there isn’t much more to discuss beyond today’s “Weekly Nutshell” above, as our weather will be fairly non-impactful through Sunday noon.
It will be cold for the next three days with mixed skies, and a few snow showers possible tonight and tomorrow.
Wednesday and Thursday will be particularly cold, with Wednesday night seeing lows in the teens to low 20s, so bundle up peeps!
By Friday into Sunday, high pressure passes east off of the southeast U.S. coast and causes temps to rise through that 72-hour period, landing firmly in the 40s for Saturday and the 50s for Sunday.
Clouds will build Sunday, and I will be watching trends on what could be a very windy and rainy storm Sunday night into Monday morning, with strong southerly gusts up to 60mph not out of the questions, with around 1-3″ of rain possible.
Please stay tuned for updates, and have a great day!
>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
