MORNING DISCUSSION
Good morning everybody, got any sunrise pics this morning? Please post them!
As for our weather, the next couple of days will feature fair conditions and milder temperatures as we establish the ridge-east / trough-west setup, which generally means colder/stormier western U.S., milder/tranquil eastern U.S., though New England will see a couple of frontal passage with rain showers this weekend and again for the middle of next week.
For today, morning partial cloudiness gives way to mostly sunny skies as high pressure builds into the region with highs well into the 40s and lows in the upper 20s to mid 30s across the region.
For Friday, sunshine early gives way to high clouds later in the afternoon with highs either side of 50º with thickening clouds overnight and lows in the upper 30s with some patchy fog as dewpoints increase.
Saturday is mostly cloudy, trending to overcast, with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s with showers by afternoon.
Rain showers become more numerous New Year’s Eve with lows in the low 40s, so pack your rain gear, party people.
Showers Sunday morning give way to a nicer New Year’s Day afternoon, with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s with lows near freezing.
Monday looks a bit breezy and slightly cooler with highs in the 40s and lows dropping to the upper 20s to low 30s.
Timing is not set in stone with the mid-week system, so for now, expect milder temps Tuesday through Thursday with showers likely by Tuesday night into Wednesday with highs in the 50s throughout, and possibly reaching 60º on Wednesday, before we cool things back down Friday into next weekend.
Have a great day, and if you missed the order deadline I still have my 2023 weather calendars with gorgeous and local WMass photos at the link below: I won’t be doing one next year, so get ’em while you can!

AND REMEMBER…
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
