–This produces abundant sunshine today and tomorrow
–Cold today with highs in the mid to upper 30s with light west wind
–Lows tonight bottom out in the to mid 20s as wind back around to the south
–Sunny tomorrow with highs in the mid to upper 40s, with some folks hitting 50º as high pressure passes east to our south
–Lows near freezing Friday night with partly cloudy skies
–Saturday is the pick of the weekend with partly sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper 40s and lows in the low to mid 30s
–Clouds increase Sunday with highs in the mid to upper 40s
–Showers likely arrive sometime at night
–Some uncertainty exists for amount of rain and wind, but Monday is looking like a stormy day with a coastal low running over us or a bit to our west, sending moisture our way
–An upper level trough may linger into Tuesday as colder air moves back in, which may cause some mixed rain and snow showers as highs fall back into the 30s

YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning everybody, our lake effect snow showers have left the building and we’re now left with a giant area of high pressure at over 1040mb in its center which is HIGH pressure indeed.
This skyward-bulging dome is producing widespread subsidence (i.e. sinking air from sky to ground) and that is a drying air motion, which usually clears the clouds away, produces “bluebird skies” as some meteorologists like to say, and abundant sunshine which looks likely for today and tomorrow.
A dry northwest flow today will produce high temps in the mid to upper 30s, but as a trough to our northeast keeps swinging east, high pressure will get a better foothold and back our winds around to the south tonight.
This means that this morning will be our coldest temps for many days, with lows tonight hanging in the low to mid 20s.
Friday is milder with highs 45-50º under sunny skies, with lows near freezing.
Saturday will be the pick of the weekend, but we’ll start to see some clouds developing as moisture begins its northward surge from the southeastern U.S.
Highs will reach the mid to upper 40s with lows near freezing, and then clouds will increase on Sunday as an east coast low pressure system lifts north up the coastline, either passing near our region or to the west.
There won’t be much cold air to work with to our north and northwest around this time, so this looks like another rainstorm (even more so than the last one which did bring snow to SVT and far northwest MA westward into the Taconics and Capital Region of NY).
Showers should arrive Sunday night, and it could rain heavily at times on Monday with wind potential as well.
Colder will finally work in towards mid week, and if an upper level meanders around for a bit, some wintry showers are possible.
Have a great day and raise those ‘brows!
>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
