>>> MORNING DISCUSSION <<<
Good morning everybody, we’ve arrived at a lovely 2 and a half day stretch of weather with northerly flow behind a weak cold front that brought some isolated showers through parts of the WMass region yesterday late afternoon.

All of that is behind us as high pressure noses in from the northwest, which means cooler, drier, fair weather for at least the next 48-60 hours before our next wet weather system moves into our area.

For today, deep blue skies are expected as smoke is suppressed southwest and away from our region, and highs reach the mid to upper 70s with northerly breezes and much lower humidity.

Lows tonight will drop into the 50s and possibly even the upper 40s in some far northwest MA and southern VT locations, with patchy fog possible as well. Otherwise, it will be mostly clear.

For Wednesday, a repeat of today/tonight with slightly cooler highs in the low to mid 70s under sunny skies with low humidity and lows in the 50s.

Given that I am in 5 bands at the Look Park local arts fundraiser tonight, and the weather is serene tomorrow, I am going to take a needed day off, and get some sleep after rocking under the tall pines, I do hope you can make it tonight, it’s for a great cause, which is to raise funds to support arts enrichment in the schools and the Northampton (and hence, WMass) community.

By Thursday, the morning looks partly sunny nice, and will have similar high temps but clouds will be on the increase as a shortwave dives toward us from the Great Lakes region.

Highs will be in the 70s and humidity will start to tick upward.

We can expect some showers by later afternoon and into the evening, with some thunderstorms possible as well.

Friday looks like periods of showers, not raining constantly, but an unsettled pattern over us nonetheless, and this likely continues into Friday night, and may linger (especially east of I-91) into Saturday morning. Again, highs 70s, lows low 60s.

The weekend looks split, with Sunday being the pick as another area of high pressure builds in from the northwest behind our late-week system, which means more dry and sunny weather with highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s into early next week.

Have a great day and come to the show tonight if you can, it’ll be fun!

>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
