YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning folks, I apologize for the late report today, the intersection of my inner rock and roller and my outer middle agedness is catching up with me, as I put a lot of energy into preparing for and performing in the annual Northampton Arts Council fundraiser last night at Look Park, so I am wiped this morning, but luckily there ain’t much to talk or worry about weather-wise in the short term.
The only real weather of note through the weekend is that we have an upper level low over NY state that is moving through New England today. As such will push colder air through our region aloft, helping to bubble up clouds as the day wears on.
So, areas where we’re seeing morning sunshine will likely turn to at least a partly sunny, mixed sky later this afternoon, with some mostly cloudy areas farther north and west in MA and up into VT and NH.
Highs will only top out in the mid 60s to low 70s, and some of us will see scattered showers or even a thunderstorm later afternoon and early evening before our surface atmosphere stabilizes and any activity dies down.
Lows tonight will again be in the mid 40s to low 50s under clearing skies.
For tomorrow, partly to mostly sunny skies are expected as our upper low loses its grip on our sensible weather, with highs in the upper 60s to mid 70s, and lows either side of 50º under clear skies.
At the moment, Friday through Sunday looks amazing with plenty of sunshine and temperate conditions, with highs mid to upper 70s Friday, either side of 80º Saturday, and then the upper 70s to mid 80s on Sunday with lows in the 50s under mostly clear skies.
By early next week some showers are possible, likely from a warm frontal passage.
Thereafter, we’re heating up into the mid to late week with highs climbing into the 80s with humidity increasing as dewpoints come up toward the mid 60s.
Later in the week, temps may come up into the low 90s with high humidity before a cold front sweeps the region for another Whooshening by the end of the following weekend.
Have a great day!
