Western Mass Regional Weather for April 9, 2023

Very warm by late week!

Very warm by late week!

Good morning folks, we’ve got a chilly start out there this morning, and we’ll have one more when we wake up tomorrow morning. Otherwise, we’re going to be in the 50s today, 60s early week, 70s mid week, and 80s late week as a big warm surge strengthens across the region, though we’re not headed straight into summer which I’ll go into, but before we jump into the weather and daily details below, let’s check a note from our new weekend sponsor, #RedFireFarm located in Granby, MA.

#PEACEINTHEVALLEYCAST
–This Easter Sunday is about as calm and peaceful as you’ll get here in southern New England
–Highs in the low to mid 50s, plenty of sun, light northwest breeze
–Cold tonight, lows mid 20s to low 30s for most, some mid 30s in northern CT, clear
–High pressure dominates our weather with more sunshine Monday with highs in the upper 50s to mid 60s with light westerly flow
–Lows will dip into the 30s, but should stay above freezing under mostly clear skies
–Tuesday and Wednesday will feature a moisture-starved front nearby, which will help to produce some breezier conditions
–With very dry ground, low humidity, and wind, fire spread conditions will develop, so be mindful of that piece
–Partial sunshine is expected for both days with highs Tuesday in the mid to upper 60s, and highs in the mid 60s to low 70s by Wednesday
–Then we’re going to hit an early taste of summer with highs in the mid 70s to low 80s on Thursday, and the upper 70s to mid 80s on Friday!
–Both days will feature plenty of sunshine as well, and humidity shouldn’t be too much of an issue
–The following weekend may feature an isolated shower, but it looks like fair weather then as well, continued warm (though not that warm)
–Then by a week from tomorrow we should get one last warmth and humidity spike before a cold front brings showers and much cooler temps behind it for Tuesday into middle of next week

That’s how it looks now, and I will keep you updated, have a great day!

BE KIND
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
