–Upper level ridge brings sunshine and warmth today with light east wind
–Clouds start to filter in from the west overnight
–Clouds thicken Saturday with some sunny breaks possible, highs 60s

MORNING DISCUSSION
Good morning everybody, as we all know, the only day we are ever guaranteed is the one we wake up to, if we are so blessed, so I hope this day goes very well for you, and if it doesn’t very well, then I hope at least one thing puts even a one-second smile on your face, which is better than many people will experience today. #Perspective #Gratitude
As for our weather, it keeps happening, go figure!!!!!
Such is life in our cosmic air-quarium known as Earth’s lower atmosphere (a/k/a the Troposphere).
If we’ve got to be alive today, it’s a great one to support biological activities, save for the folks who suffer with allergies as pollen counts are up, so pack the meds or tissue paper.
It’ll be sunny today with highs in the upper 60s to mid 70s across much of the region, with a light east wind which will help prevent temps from soaring even higher, due to onshore flow.
For tonight, our upper level ridge moves through the region, with a trough of lower pressures aloft starting to dive southeast toward the Great Lakes and eventually into New England by next week. Lows will dip into the 40s.
As that transition happens, clouds will increase overnight and thicken Saturday, though a few sunny breaks are possible.
As the trough approaches with its surface cold front, strong southerly flow will develop ahead and east of this feature, and be directed right into New England from south to north.
Highs Saturday should make it into the 60s, and clouds will thicken through the day, with lows dropping to either side of 50º as first rain showers arrive sometime around midnight.
Rain will increase in coverage and intensity into Sunday morning and during the day with downpours possible at times, along with a few non-severe thunderstorms. Highs will only reach the mid 50s or so, and showers will continue at night with lows either side of 40º, so it will be raw and chilly.
For Monday, the cold front moves through the region, and highs will only reach the upper 40s to low 50s with a few scattered showers as the upper trough starts to lollygag and amble eastward into New England.
Monday night looks interesting, as there may be enough cold air in southern VT along with periods of precip, such that we could see snow develop there, and we can’t even rule out some accumulation!!
I will keep you updated on that, as that would be a late-season wintry output.
Scattered showers are possible again Tuesday, but drying should be developing into mid to late week.
Highs will be in the 40s and 50s on Tuesday, and then we should develop at least partly sunny skies into Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the 50s.
