–Tomorrow is the pick of the week with sunshine and highs in the 70s

MORNING DISCUSSION
Good morning everybody, we’re cooking up a sweet end to the second to last week of April as we set sail for the merry month of May, and after today and tomorrow, things are looking more April-ish, historically speaking.
For today, some morning clouds will be mixing out as drier air works into the region and we develop a mostly sunny day with highs in the upper 50s in the far northwest and elevated areas and 60s elsewhere after a cold start in the 30s this morning.
Winds will be mainly light and out of the west, and then trend to light and variable tonight with partly cloudy skies and lows again in the 30s to low 40s for many of us.
On Friday, the pick of the work week arrives!! Sunshine is expected along with highs cresting into the upper 60s to mid 70s with light southeasterly wind, so be sure to get outside and enjoy it (although pollen counts are likely elevated).
On Friday night, our pattern begins to change into a more unsettled period that will begin Saturday, but really develop in earnest very late Saturday night and Sunday and lasting into early to mid next week.
Clouds increase Friday night with lows in the 40s, leading to a mostly cloudy day on Saturday with highs in the low to mid 60s.
A cold front will be starting to track toward the region connected to an upper low that will move towards the Great Lakes region.
Rain showers will move in Saturday night and become heavy at times Sunday morning, tracking mostly from south to north through the greater WMass region with lows in the 40s Saturday night and highs either side of 60º on Sunday.
With a deep fetch of moisture tracking from south to north, downpours will be possible as well as a few thunderstorms, and we can’t rule out some southerly wind gusts either. Sunday night looks to continue with scattered showers and lows either side of 40º.
By early to mid next week, we’ll be watching our upper low near the Great Lakes slowly traverse through New England which will bring a mix of clouds, a few sunny breaks, and periods of showers as well with cooler temps with highs in the 50s.
Monday looks showery for sure, but this may linger into at least Tuesday morning before drier air starts working in on a cooling northwest flow, which should develop some partly sunny skies by Tuesday morning into Wednesday, the way it looks at this moment.
Have a great day!
BE KIND
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
