MORNING DISCUSSION
Good morning everybody, we’ve got cooler temps this morning in the 30s northwest and 40s elsewhere.
After showers yesterday and overnight, we still have a few lingering and widely scattered showers this morning, and a few snowflakes may be mixed in over areas like Mt. Snow or Stratton Mountain.
Otherwise, we should see morning showers weaken with time as an upper low pushes northeast into Quebec today and tonight, spreading its clouds overhead today with a few sunny breaks possible with westerly wind gusts of 10-20mph at times.
Highs will rise mainly into the upper 40s to mid 50s for many of us. Clouds will break up overnight to partly cloudy skies, and if we can clear enough quickly enough with lighter wind, lows should drop down into the low to mid 30s with some frost possible.
Sunshine increases on Wednesday as a ridge replaces the upper low through the end of the week, combining with a surface high to our south.
This will foster more breezy west to southwest wind gusts of `15-25mph Wednesday, along with increased sunshine and temps in the 60s Wednesday, 70s Thursday, and upper 70s to mid 80s on Friday!
It should be noted that Wednesday’s lows will again be in the low to mid 30s so additional frost can’t be ruled out, but lows the following two nights will be well above freezing.
By Saturday, we should start off dry with clouds building into the region ahead of a cold front that moves through Saturday night into Sunday.
Highs should still be in the low to mid 70s. and a few showers will develop by late afternoon or evening.
It’s not until Saturday night into Sunday that a more widespread rainfall is looking more probable. In addition, temps on Sunday will “sit down” into the low to miid 60s, and be down into the 50s by Monday with partly sunny skies expected.
Have a great day!
BE KIND
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
