MORNING DISCUSSION
Good morning everybody, temps really stayed up overnight due to a combo of some cloudiness and mainly a well-mixed surface layer with winds gusting all night, so morning dog walks have been pleasant!
As for the rest of our day, we’ll see filtered sunshine throughout the day, with perhaps a few areas of partial cloudiness at times, with highs mostly in the 70s with some 60s in SVT.
Northwest winds will gust 25-40mph at times, but should slacken in the afternoon and evening with lows will in the upper 40s and 50s with mostly clear skies expected, especially late at night.
Light west to southwest wind continues tomorrow, and with more sunshine expected along with southwest flow, our temps will soar into the 80s with some upper 70s north of the Rt. 2 corridor with lows in the upper 50s.
Friday will be a virtual repeat of Thursday with more sunshine and one final very warm day with highs in the 80s, but at least it will be tolerable in terms of humidity.
By Saturday, the pattern starts to change as we trade sunshine for clouds, and temps come down a bit as a result, with highs in the 70s. We can’t rule out a shower or two at night with lows near 50º.
By Sunday, a coastal low may get going off of the Mid-Atlantic coastline and track northeast towards Cape Cod and spread some rainfall into the region as a cooler flow off of the ocean develops.
Temps will come down into the mid to upper 60s, which is still above average.
It’s looking rainy for Sunday night at the moment with lows in the 40s, and then we’ll be watching a cold front press east into the region for Monday, which should bring more showers through.
Temps early next week should set up in the 55-60º range which is starting to become more seasonable, with a chance for more showers on Tuesday.
So, if you’re a summah lovah, soak it up over the next few days because it won’t last!
Have a great day!
BE KIND
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
