MY FRIENDS, THERE IS ONE THING I KNOW TO BE TRUE…AND THAT’S THAT YOU RELY ON ME, AND I RELY ON YOU
Good day everybody, over the years I’ve learned from many of you that you depend on me and my hyper-local weather reporting and analysis to help with your family, travel and business plans. I now need to depend on you, and to that end, the 2016 DHTWN Annual Donation Drive has arrived. #BecauseEvenNutsNeedToEat

In 2014 and 2015, I reached out to you, my loyal followers and fans, for financial donations to help keep my Facebook page active and alive. I did this because you’ve told me in your own words that you value and rely on my work and service to the community. Below are just a few of your reviews:

–“I pretty much run my business based on your forecasts.”
–“Dave understands the terrain of WMass, and all of the micro-climates, and reports on all of them”
–“Dave is the best. Would be freaking out if it weren’t for his weathercasts.”
–“Lots of details, but concisely written to get in and get out quickly”
–“Consistently on point info, relevant to my interests, that being safe driving.”
–“You are the best at what you do, Dave. Thank you for being there for us.”
–“Outstanding weather reporting and educational resource.”
–“Dave has a good instinct for the weather”

Past donations have helped me to pay some of my bills so I can stay afloat enough that I could be here for you as much as I can, so thank you!

But contrary to what anyone’s perception is, the fact is I don’t have a full time job and I don’t have benefits. I have given up other aspects of my life to be here whenever the weather gets heavy, no matter what. I can’t do that at a 9-5 job if a Tornado Warning is issued.

Simply put, I’m a human that needs means to continue to feed, clothe and shelter myself, just like you do, which means that it’s time for the annual request for donations to help keep the page rolling, and to keep me in the saddle, so to speak. This is why I’m asking for your help, because I’d like to continue to be here for you.

The weather may be calm or ferocious, but I feel a duty to show up daily because one never knows when the weather will change on us.

I want to continue to be that hyper-local weather resource with whom you can actually interact and get detailed HUMAN feedback and analysis to help you with your specific plans, tailored to your specific area. I enjoy responding to as many of your private messages, comments, and questions as I possibly can. My hope is that people with means will step up and support this page today.

So if you feel that my work is valuable to you, your family, your business or organization, I am asking that you please support me with a recurring/monthly or annual donation that reflects what you feel my work is worth to you.

If you want to support at $5, $10, or $20 per month, $60, $120, or more per year, or if you’re strapped but want to kick me a small one-time donation of $5, $10, or $25, those are all great options and hugely appreciated.

If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to email me at dave at westernmassweather dot com.

Thank you so much! – Dave Hayes
