Good evening everybody, we’ve got three storms to work our way through over the next 9-10 days, and the first of that trifecta occurs tonight and through much of Thanksgiving Day, which if you ask me is replete with #DebbieDownerTiming

*insert Debbie Downer trumpet sound here*

For tonight, scattered showers will move into the region, and some have already arrived.

Temps in northern portions of Bennington and Windham Counties in southern VT, as well as northern Cheshire County in southwest NH are in the low 30s currently.

Some brief freezing rain is possible up there, but over time, even though areas should warm enough above freezing to just experience plain rain by midnight or so.

Lows tonight will be in the mid to upper 30s, and rain showers will become more numerous and heavier after midnight and during Thanksgiving morning.

Highs tomorrow should generally be in the 45-50º range, but some high terrain areas may reach into the low to mid 50s if a potential temperature inversion sets up.

A few thunderstorms are also possible as the cold front comes slicing through in the afternoon, and rain should quit between 2-4pm from the Berkshires through Worcester County.

Total rainfall should be somewhere between half an inch to up to 1.5″ for folks who get under any thunderstorms or downpours.

Lows in the low 40s under mostly cloudy skies will give way to a three-day sunny streak from Friday through Sunday, thanks to incoming high pressure. Highs will be near 50º on Friday and in the 40s over the weekend.

However, by early next week we could have the phasing of a northern stream system and a southern stream system occurring just west of our region, which would open up the southerly floodgates into New England, unleashing copious rainfall and potentially very strong wind gusts with more thunderstorms, so stay tuned for updates.

The middle of the week looks fair, but yet another storm system could arrive to end the week, so lots to keep track of.

Have a great evening, I am off to bake butternut squash, prep stuffing, and unleash epic amounts of gratitude to all of you for your support and allowing me to have such a blessed life doing work I really enjoy, which is serving all of you.

Thank you, and I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving <3
