Good morning everybody, we’ve got clouds across the region with temps in the mid to upper 30s as a very weak disturbance works through the region.
Some sunny breaks may develop during the mid day period before our frontal boundary approaches overnight.
Highs today will reach the upper 40s to low 50s and southwest winds may gust up to 20mph at times.
By tonight, more widespread showers will push into the region likely before midnight and lasting into the mid to late morning tomorrow to start our work week.
It will be mild tonight with lows in the low to mid 40s and south winds will gust up to 20mph before the front passes through.
Monday will start off showery, but we should see rains quit by late morning to noon as the front quickly pulls away. Highs will reach the mid to upper 40s by around noon, but then temps are going to PLUMMET as the coldest air of the season begins to advect into the region behind the front.
Northwest winds will gust 20-30mph later in the day and temps will likely fall back into the mid to upper 30s by sunset as skies become partly sunny / partly cloudy.
Lows will drop into the low to mid 20s and with continued wind gusts wind chills may get as low as the mid to upper teens for late Monday night into early Tuesday morning when you’re heading out the door, so bundle up!
Tuesday looks a bit blustery with west winds continuing to gust over 20mph at times, with highs only in the mid to upper 30s under sunny skies. Lows will be in the upper teens to low 20s as radiational cooling maximizes with slackening winds with high pressure moving into the region and relaxing the pressure gradient.
You couldn’t ask for better pre-Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving travel weather conditions than what we have to look forward to this week!
Mostly sunny skies are expected Wednesday and Thursday as high pressure works through the region. It’ll still be chilly Wednesday with highs in the upper 30s to mid 40s and lows at night in the mid to upper 20s.
However, on Thanksgiving Day? Highs will reach the upper 40s to mid 50s under mostly sunny skies with light winds – you can’t do any better, if you ask me – it’s late autumnal weather perfection for southern New England in late November.
Now that’s something to be thankful for.
Have a great day, and if you’d like one of my 2022 weather wall calendar for yourself or as a holiday gift for others, my sale ends *tonight*, so be sure to get your order in at the link below, which tells you everything you’ll get, thanks very much for your support!
