Leftover convection from thunderstorms over Ohio and Pennsylvania has resulted in a band of showers that will rain over CT, RI southeast MA, the Cape and Islands this morning, before being further suppressed south and out to sea by dominant high pressure over Ontario and Quebec.

Highs will be around 80 degrees today, and tomorrow will be the coolest of the next stretch, with highs in the mid 70s, which is a

little bit below normal. We could see an isolated shower this afternoon south of the Mass Pike after the rain shield moves out, but nothing remarkable.

We will have beautiful cool nights in the low to upper 50s through the period. By mid to late next week, the humidity will return, and so will the threat for showers and thunderstorms.

Have a great day!
