“I find that his forecasts are spot on. He gives updates frequently as the forecast changes. Doesn’t seem to jump the gun or sensationalize the forecast.” –Angela SC

DAILY DISCUSSION
The winds that blew out of the northwest overnight made it pretty clear when our air mass changed up! A steady wind lasted into the pre-dawn hours.
For today, high pressure will be building in from the west, though a weak wave will work through tonight, likely with just increasing clouds later this afternoon and overnight, sans any precipitation. Any morning winds slacken.
Highs today will reach the mid 40s to low 50s under mostly sunny skies, though high clouds may filter the sunshine later on.
Lows tonight will drop into the upper 20s to low 30s under partly to mostly cloudy skies as that weak wave works through the region.
Thursday is a copy of Wednesday in terms of temperatures and sunshine, although I expect less clouds by afternoon.
Lows Thursday night will reach the mid 30s as showers approach the region.

On Friday, a strengthening storm system will be tracking northeast through the Low Pressure Highway of North America (#LPHNA), otherwise known as the Great Lakes Region, and will then proceed northeast up toward James Bay (which is the southern nub of Hudson Bay).
This will drag the storm’s cold front east through the region later Friday night. Before that, rainfall will be sweeping the region, and it may be heavy at times.
In addition, it’s not impossible but that high terrain areas of southern VT may see some sleet during the pre-dawn hours, but, I will update this we get closer. It’s a very low chance.
Highs will reach the mid to upper 50s and lows will sit down to near the freezing mark as rain quits to the east.
Sunday through Monday look GORGEOUS and a bit more seasonable.
Friday night into Saturday will be breezy with west winds gusting over 20mph, and highs through the 3-day period will be well into the 40s with lows in the 20s under mostly sunny skies.
By Tuesday, southwest flow will milden things up, and also bring the chance for more rain showers with highs cresting 50 degrees.
Have a great day, and please do help keep me on this job for you and this great community (please read below)!
