Good morning everybody, based on your reports we got some coatings in the western hilltowns, SVT and Berkshires, with flurries elsewhere, and now our storm pulls away to the east to snow over the fish.
Nantucket and the outer Cape gusted to 65mph, and received a light to moderate snowfall.
For us in the WMass reigon, we will see north winds gusts to 30mph at times today, and especially this morning. With temps in the 20s, wind chills will dip into the upper singles to teens briefly.
Otherwise, expect slackening winds by afternoon, and highs in the mid to upper 30s with increasing sunshine and lows in the low to mid 20s.
Sunday and Monday look gorgeous and sunny as high pressure slips east off of the Carolina coastline and sends that mild southwesterly flow wafting into New England.
Highs on Sunday will reach the upper 40s to mid 50s with lows in the 30s.
Highs on Monday will reach the upper 50s to mid 60s! Clouds will build late Monday, and lows will settle down to near 40 degrees.
By Tuesday, low pressure will be tracking yet again to our northwest through the Great Lakes putting us in the warm side of another storm system.
Expect rain showers by Tuesday afternoon into the night, and possibly lasting into Wednesday. Highs on Tuesday will be in the 55-60º range with lows near 40 degrees.
Any early rain showers should give way to partly sunny skies later on Wednesday with highs in the low 50s.
For now the end of next week looks mild and without inclement weather, but I’ll keep you updated as we get closer. Highs look to be somewhere near 50 degrees during that time.
Have a great day, and if you appreciate and rely on my work, please support it today by joining my 2020 Support Network as a Member or Supporter. Thank you.
