Good morning everybody, I hope you’re looking forward to yet another weekend. Aside from a few snow showers or flurries today (and maybe some isolated coatings in the high terrain of SVT, Berkshires, western hilltowns, and the Taconics), we have a fairly dry and cold/seasonable weekend on tap.

Highs today will reach the mid 20s to low 30s with more clouds than sunshine. High terrain areas could gust to 20mph at times shifting from the west to more north and northwest later today.

Lows tonight will drop into the teens and it will be dry with partly to mostly cloudy skies.

For Sunday, high pressure moves in behind the upper level trough that is leaving our shores today, which will create more sunshine for us to enjoy. Highs will reach the upper 20s to low 30s with lows in the teens.

High pressure will pass to our east, and help to build a ridge to our south that will encourage a southwest flow across the United States through the Ohio Valley and into New England.

This will allow high temps to rise well into the 40s for most of next week, with some low 50s for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Expect mostly cloudy skies during the week with some sunny periods to be better defined as we get closer.

In addition, some light mixed rain/snow showers are possible after midnight into the pre-dawn hours of Monday morning. However, the best chance of rainfall this week is Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday as a couple of Pacific systems fly across the country in our continued fast flow.

I want to extend a HUGE THANKS to all the Supporters, as well as the Members listed below who stepped forward to help sustain this interactive, hyper-local community weather resource now and into the future.
