YOUR WEEKLY WEATHER NUTSHELL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
–Patchy drizzle and fog in spots this morning
–Temps are in the 30s to start off the day, and some isolated freezing drizzle is possible early in SVT, SWNH, and far NW.MA
–A mostly cloudy day lies ahead with highs in the 50s
–After any morning fog/drizzle, a drying period moves in with a few sunny breaks possible
–Clouds thicken and increase this afternoon with showers by late afternoon and early evening
–Lows will drop into the low to mid 40s
–Low pressure will develop along a frontal boundary and track SSW to NNE pushing deeper moisture into the region for Thursday
–Steadier and heavier rain will develop by Thursday morning and last throughout the day and night, with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s
–We should see the heaviest rain fall east of I-91
–Anywhere between a half inch far west to up to 2″ in far eastern CT and southeast CMass is possible
–Lows Thursday night will drop into the low to mid 30s, and the Berkshires of SVT could see a little back end change to snow showers before the storm ships out of here
–A Friday morning spot shower with clouds gives way to increasingly partly sunny skies and gusty northwest winds behind the front
–Highs will reach the mid to upper 40s, and winds will gust 25-40mph later in the afternoon, overnight and into Saturday morning
–Highs Friday reach the mid to upper 40s with lows either side of 30º
–Despite a gusty Saturday, the weekend looks lovely with increasing sunshine, dry conditions, and highs in the mid 40s to low 50s with lows in the 30s
–Monday looks a touch milder with fair weather continuing, but by Tuesday/Wednesday, another storm system could be bringing additional rainfall, which we do not need
YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning everybody, the Nutshell above covers the main details of our incoming weather through the weekend and into early next week.
The bottom line is that we’ve got some dreary weather on the way today, tonight, tomorrow, and tomorrow night with fair weather starting to nudge into the region by Friday, especially by Friday afternoon.
Another #SluggaRain is on the way as slow-moving low pressure way south of us combines with a frontal boundary draped off a low to our west to develop and draw deeper moisture up the eastern seaboard and through much of New England late tonight, and mostly Thursday and Thursday night.
Beyond that, our Friday to Monday period features fair and mild weather, however it will get quite windy Friday afternoon, night and into a part of Saturday with gusts up to 25-40mph at times.
We’ll see one more shot of rainfall potential as early as Tuesday, but as late as Wednesday as another zonal system slides west to east and careens through our region.
As John Fogerty once sang “And I wonder, still I wonder, who’ll stop the rain?”
I hope you have a great day, and I hope somehow you get to have a great big smile today.
>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
