YOUR WEEKLY WEATHER NUTSHELL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
–A super chilly start with temps in the upper singles and teens, climbs into the mid to upper 30s under full sun, get out and enjoy!
–Clouds build later tonight with lows in the mid 20s
–A weak storm passes north of us, and floats a warm front through early Monday morning, as high pressure sets up south of us and aids and abets this atmospheric activity
–This will cause some light snow or mixed showers to move through early Monday morning, exiting by mid morning
–No real accumulation is expected, but a few high terrain coatings can’t be ruled out
–Highs Monday behind the front climb into the mid to upper 40s as sunshine develops, with lows in the mid to upper 20s
–Tuesday is even milder, with highs in the low to mid 50s as clouds increase
–A warm front pushes through Tuesday night into early Wednesday, and with it, periods of rain showers will develop with Tuesday night lows in the 40s and Wednesday highs in the mid 50s (no 60s are forthcoming given clouds and showers)
–By Wednesday night, our best chance at developing stronger winds and heavier rains arrives as a cold front approaches from the west
–Southerly wind gusts may spike up to 40mph in gusts with heavy rain as the front pushes through overnight, and rain may change to a period of snow into very early Thursday morning, and light accumulations are possible
–Thursday becomes sunnier and cooler with highs near 40º, with similar conditions on Friday with more cooler sunshine
–However, another mild surge arrives for the weekend with highs cresting the 50º mark, so a Spring taste is on the way!
YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning everybody, it is certainly a cold start out there, but we’ve got light southwest flow and a high sun angle on our side for those who don’t like teens for temps.

Said southwest flow is due to high pressure tracking south of us, and putting us on its clockwise-circulating northwestern flank, which produces southwest flow.

After a lovely Sun-Day with highs in the mid to upper 30s, clouds increase tonight, lows drop to the 20s, and a warm front approaches due to the combo of high pressure to our south and a weak wave to our north.

This should produce some snow showers or mixed precip by early Monday morning moving west to east through the region.

This represents the nose of the incoming milder air, with highs in the mid to upper 40s expected as sunshine develops, with Monday night lows in the mid to upper 20s.

We should get a partly sunny start to our Tuesday with highs rising into the low to mid 50s, but clouds will filter in during the afternoon as a stronger warm front pushes our way, draped southward off of a potent low that will pass well north of us during the mid-week period.

First showers could arrive Tuesday night, and will likely last through Wednesday as periods of rainfall with highs again in the mid 50s.

By Wednesday night, a strong cold front will be sweeping east towards New England.

This has the potential to induce strong southerly wind gusts to reach the ground, along with generating heavy rain at times. I don’t believe there is any real flood threat, but will keep an eye on it.

Interestingly, we could see rain change to snow before ending around or after midnight going into early Thursday morning.

An inch or two of wet snow could briefly blanket the high terrain areas of WMass, CMass, SVT and SWNH, but I will update on that as we get closer.

We will cool down Thursday into Friday with fair weather and highs in the low 40s and lows in the 20s with northwest flow, but then by the weekend we should warm back up into the 50s, and at this range, next weekend is looking wicked nice, but as we all know, much can change between now and then.

Have a great day, and whether our weather’s sunny and stormy, if you depend on my work through each year, please chip in whatever is comfortable for you at the secure link below so I can continue through 2024… even $5 helps, thank you…

“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
