YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning everybody, again here I am with your daily DHTWN Borecast(TM), which is a good thing after that flooding anomalous rainstorm that started the week.
We’re between very strong high pressure to our northwest and another system to our east, which will produce a pressure gradient over the region today, leading winds to develop out of the north and gust 15-25mph at times.
Mostly sunny skies should result with cold highs in the upper 20s to mid 30s throughout the greater WMass region from north to south. With the wind, wind chill readings may drop to the 20s, with lows in the upper single digits to mid teens tonight under clear skies with winds slackening.
Friday represents our last wintry cold today for a while and through the Christmas holiday.
We’ll see high temps in the low to mid 30s under mostly sunny skies as high pressure passes southeast over our region and out to sea, with lows in the mid to upper teens.
More clouds will develop Saturday ahead of an incoming warm front and weak system with highs in the 35-40º range. In addition, a few rain or snow showers are possible by afternoon. Lows will drop to either side of 30º.
By Sunday and Monday (XMas Eve and Day), temps will be rising into the 40s for highs with lows near freezing or a bit above.
It looks like clouds may linger Sunday, but the holiday itself should be partly sunny, and all travel to your destinations looks hassle-free, if you’re moving your body over the planet’s surface.
As for the Tuesday/Wednesday timeframe, we should see another inland tracker / inside runner type of storm system which will push more rain showers into our region, with a cool down expected by late next week.
Have a great day!
>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
