YOUR WEEKLY WEATHER NUTSHELL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
–Very cold start today in the teens and 20s!
–We will “rebound” into the 30s and 40s by this afternoon
–Sunshine shines early, but clouds will build during the afternoon as a system tracks north of us
–That system’s southern extent swipes us with an isolated rain or snow shower this evening and overnight, lows either side of 30º
–Sunshine returns tomorrow, cold and in the 40s for highs as northwest winds kick up to 10-20mph in gusts
–Lows drop to the low to mid 20s
–Wednesday through Friday look sunny with highs in the 40s Wednesday, 50s Thursday, and 50s to low 60s Friday before clouds build in
–Friday night into Saturday should feature a cold frontal passage combining with coastal low pressure produce rain showers in our region, with heavier rains east
–Sunday is the weekend pick as sunshine returns with cooler temps, and then I will be watching a potential rainstorm the day before Thanksgiving that could impact holiday travel, but before we talk details let’s check a note from our local and delicious sponsor, #TandemBagelCo, with their newest location in the Stop & Shop Plaza on King Street in Northampton, MA.
YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning folks, we’ve got a gloriously sunny start to the day but it’s freezing out side with temps in the upper teens to 20s, which will climb to the mid 30s to mid 40s from north to south (with many in the Pioneer Valley in the low to mid 40s).

Morning sunshine will give way to increasing afternoon clouds as a weak system passes north of us tonight.

It is quite dry in our region, so precipitation in the form of isolated rain or snow showers will meet this dry air and weaken over our region this evening, but we should still see some isolated rain or snow showers late this afternoon and/or tonight with lows in the upper 20s to low 30s.

Sunshine returns tomorrow after morning clouds for some, with highs in the upper 30s to upper 40s. It will be bit nippy with a northwest wind gusting 10-20mph behind a frontal passage. Lows will drop into the low to mid 20s Tuesday night.

Wednesday through Friday will result in our next episode of The Mildening, featuring Balmy Breeze as the young and hopeful upstart ready to take over the region and warm its buns up to make everybody happy, only to be outdone by The Rambunctious Rainmaker that busts his way into the region Friday night into Saturday with our next showery outburst.

Highs will climb from the mid to upper 40s Wednesday, through the 50s Thursday, and (hopefully) into the low 60s by Friday — for a day. Sunshine should abound, and lows should mainly be in the 30s.

By Friday night, as stated, showers move into the region as an upper trough digs into the eastern Great Lakes and tries to (but likely not) phase with a coastal storm.

The result should still be periods of rain showers Friday night into Saturday with highs in the low 50s.

Saturday night into Sunday look breezy behind a frontal passage, and Sunday will be cooler in the 40s, but sunnier, which makes it the weekend pick, especially for getting outdoor work done.

A sneak preview into Thanksgiving Week shows fair weather early on, but the potential of more storminess by late Tuesday into Wednesday with an east coast storm system possible, which could bring additional rainfall.

Stay tuned and have a great day!

>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
