>>> MORNING DISCUSSION <<<
Good morning everybody, we’ve had a moisture starved cold front slide south early this morning, and for the rest of the day we’re expecting sunny skies and northwest breezes gusting up to 20mph at times with highs squarely in the 40s, so it will be a chilly one. Lows will drop to the low to mid 20s overnight for a frosty feel!
For tomorrow it will essentially be a repeat of today, but temps will be a few degrees cooler with highs in the low to mid 40s and lows in the upper teens to mid 20s with sunny skies in the day, clear skies at night.
This fair weather theme basically continues all through next week, but with a pronounced trend upward in temperature terms.
We will start off with highs still in the mid to upper 40s Monday and Tuesday with lows near freezing and continued fair weather.
However, because a frontal boundary will swing through Monday night into Tuesday, we could see a spot shower, though most will stay dry and instead just see a period of clouds come and go just like every experience we’ll ever have.
This frontal passage marks the commencement of The Mildening, which begins in earnest on Wednesday.
Highs will finally push into the low 50s for mid week, and then the mid to upper 50s by late week with some folks hitting 60º on Friday! Lows will correspondingly dip into the 30s.
This is all thanks to high pressure that track east into our region later this weekend and into early next week, and then strengthens south of us, putting us into a milder southerly-component flow.
However, by later Friday into the early part of next weekend a tropical system is forecast to develop down near eastern Cuba and track northeast toward the eastern Bahamas.
As this happens, an upper trough could be diving southeast into the eastern Great Lakes and spawn low pressure near New England, putting us into a rain storm for Friday/Saturday.
If this happens as some guidance suggests, it would sweep said tropical system northeast and away from New England, keeping it out to sea, but some of its moisture may get drawn into our region, so I will be watching it!
Beyond that, an early look has Thanksgiving week looking milder than average, with the potential for a more active pattern after the holiday so stay tuned as we head toward the back of November, folks!
Have a great day!
>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
