YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning everybody, it’s a cold, wet start this morning, and kind of weird that it is so dark out at 7am, but such is life in the Cosmos.
There are some patchy fog areas as well, so visibility may be compromised in some spots as you get going.
For today, our weak storm over NY/PA develops slightly as it tracks east through southern New England bringing more periods of chilly rainfall with it, amounting to not more than a quarter to half an inch or so of new rain accumulation.
Highs today will generally be in the upper 40s to low 50s, and rain should end by around sunset, give or take.
Northwest breezes gusting 10-20mph should pick up behind the departing low with lows in the upper 20s to mid 30s, with said wind precluding frost development for the most part.
Regardless, folks, the growing season is ending this week, so it’s time to wrap up the non-hardy veg. #AllThingsMustPass #GeorgeHarrison
For Tuesday, a sweet Autumn day awaits with highs in the mid to upper 40s in the high terrain, and up to the low 50s in the valley and northern CT.
Clouds will increase at night as our storm passes to our southeast, and lows will be near freezing with patchy frost possible.
Despite a few showers in eastern CT and southern Worcester County Wednesday morning, our storm is a non-event in the WMass region.
However, the upper low that our coastal low fails to hook up with could produce a few light snow or rain showers in the high terrain in the afternoon/eve as it floats through.
As THAT feature gets east of us, a hard freeze develops Wednesday night into Thursday morning with lows firmly into the 20s region-wide, so that’s your cutoff if you have photosynth-y things to which you must attend.
At the moment, it looks like high pressure will track east late week bringing fair weather to New England, and then south of New England over the weekend bringing some milder temps!
Highs Thursday and Friday should reach the 40s to low 50s, and then by the weekend we should see highs well into the 50s to near 60º by Sunday!
That’s two exclamation points in two consecutive paragraphs, whoa! That’s three!!
Partly to mostly sunny skies are expected throughout, and the next real storm chance could be a week from this Tuesday or Wednesday, which also has some winter signals with it, so I will keep you updated!
Have a great day! That’s five!!
>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
