–Partial sunshine with clouds developing as warm air advects into the region with high pressure to our south
–Highs Wednesday well into the 60s to low 70s for some

–First half of weekend is awesome, but second half clouds up with a frontal boundary approaching the region
–Showers arrive sometime later Sunday and/or into Monday as a much colder air mass slices toward the region
–Massive cold high pressure careens into the center of the U.S. and pushes our cold front through, as well as colder air back into the greater WMass region with highs in the 40s and 50s by middle of next week
–We cannot rule out snow falling in the high terrain before end of the first week of November, but before we talk details let’s check a note from our local and delicious sponsor, #TandemBagelCo, with their newest location in the Stop & Shop Plaza on King Street in Northampton, MA.

YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning everybody, please let me know if you saw frost this morning where you live, and what town you are in!
We’ve got one more seasonably cool Autumn day on tap with partly to mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid 50s to low 60s, and with lows in the upper 30s to mid 40s.
However, as high pressure scoots to our south and strengthens, we’re going to see a major southwest flow pattern set up which will drive our high temps well into the 70s by late week and into the first part of the weekend.
Wednesday is a transition day as clouds develop given warmer air working into and over cooler air at the surface, creating some mid-level cloud decks as a sign of warmer air moving in.
Highs will reach the mid 60s to low 70s and lows will drop to near 50º.
By Thursday to Saturday, abundant sunshine will develop as southwest flow optimizes, and produces highs well into the 70s on all three days, with a few folks possibly hitting 80º by Saturday before a cold front approaches for Sunday.
Clouds will build Sunday and temps will come down, with highs in the 60s, which is still above average for this time of year.
Showers should arrive at night lasting into Monday as a storm passes well north of us, but drags its associated surface cold front through the region.
Halloween may be chilly, but I will have to refine the timing as we get closer.
The first week of November definitely looks colder with highs in the 40s and 50s, and lows in the 20s and 30s, and little snow signals keep popping up on future guidance, such that if we get a storm to move through at night and pass south of us, we could get our first snow here before the first week in November ends.
If that were to happen, and it’s a big if to be honest, the Berkshires and western hilltowns up into SVT would be the climatologically favored areas to see such an atmospheric output.
One thing is for certain: I will keep an eye out and my periscope up and keep you updated! Have a great day!
>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
