YOUR WEEKLY WEATHER NUTSHELL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
–Patchy fog early, isolated frost in a few spots as Frost Advisories expire in SVT and SWNH
–Partly sunny early, then a few more clouds by afternoon a weak wave moves through with some scattered showers
–Highs low to mid 50s in the high terrain and upper 50s to low 60s in the valley areas, lows in the mid 30s to low 40s w/ isolated frost possible if clouds clear enough
–Fair weather dominates as upper low north of the Great Lakes tracking east into Canada sends westerly flow into the region
–Highs upper 50s to mid 60s with partly to mostly sunny skies Wednesday through Friday
–Saturday looks rainier, but the storm track is not set in stone with a chance that areas along and north of Route 2 see less rain Saturday into Sunday
–For now, expect wet weather this Saturday afternoon and night, waning at some point on Sunday
–Upper level low moves through with instability shower potential into early next week with cool highs in the 50s and lows in the 40s during the Saturday through Tuesday timeframe, but before we talk details let’s check a note from our local and delicious sponsor, #TandemBagelCo, with their newest location in the Stop & Shop Plaza on King Street in Northampton, MA.
YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning everybody, there’s not a whole lot to discuss regarding our weather over the next 7 days, as we need to get closer to the weekend to ascertain more details in terms of more refined impacts regarding our storm potential for Saturday afternoon into Sunday.

Aside from a few showers today and this evening, we’ve got mostly fair weather moving through the region as the upper low north of the Great Lakes stays north of us enough to preclude much in the way of instability showers each afternoon this week, save for today.

By later in the week we may see a few of those spot instability showers, but generally moisture is expected to be more limited this week, and so each afternoon we can expect the cold pool of air aloft (thanks to the upper low’s proximity to our region) to generate either cumulus or stratocumulus clouds each afternoon after mostly sunny mornings.

Highs will be in the mid 50s to low 60s today, and then the upper 50s to mid 60s the rest of the week with lows in the upper 30s to mid 40s for the most part, except for perhaps some mid 30s in areas north of the Rt. 2 corridor.

I will keep an eye on the weekend, of course, and keep you updated with what could become a rainy nor’easter with some breezy conditions and periods of stratiform rainfall anytime from Saturday afternoon through Sunday, as temps cool down into the 50s for highs, so a raw feel is likely.

That raw feel, and potential for scattered showers at times, will continue into early next week, most likely.

I hope you have a great day and get to connect with folks you appreciate, like or love as well.

>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
