>>> DAVE’S WEEKLY WEATHER NUTSHELL <<<
–Patchy fog this morning, dense in some areas, will lift later
–Mostly sunny but hazy skies develop with wildfire smoke moving through, highs low to mid 70s
–Lows tonight in the low to mid 50s, partly cloudy
–Monday will hopefully see any wildfire smoke work out of the region with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper 70s and lows in the 50s
–Tuesday and Wednesday represent peak heat of the week with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s under mostly sunny skies with lows 55-60º
–Thursday and Friday look like fair weather as well, but a bit cooler with highs in the 70s as clouds slowly build
–Another frontal boundary and ocean storm may collide over New England Saturday to produce more rainfall, which may last into Sunday, but it’s too early to know just yet
–After another system passes through early the following week, we could be looking at the coolest air yet as our nascent Autumn season continues, but before we get into the details let’s check a note from our local weekend sponsor, #GerardGhazeyBatesPC, an estate planning law firm in Northampton, MA.

>>> MORNING DISCUSSION <<<
Good morning everybody, morning patchy fog is beginning to evaporate in some areas, and hold on in others.
As temps come up and off of the dewpoints as the sun rises and warms Earth’s surface, evaporation will do its thing and we will be left with a fair weather, mostly sunny, but hazy day with wildfire smoke around, especially east of the I-91 corridor where some AQIs (Air Quality Indices) are near or just over 100.
No Air Quality Alerts have been issued, but just take it easy if you are outside, especially if infirm or sensitive.
Highs will reach the low to mid 70s and lows will dip into the low to mid 50s with partly cloudy skies.
Monday looks more clear, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper 70s with lows in the mid 50s.
Surface high pressure crests overhead Tuesday into Wednesday with a giant east coast ridge (an area aloft that contains higher than average pressures, also begetting fair weather) which is when our warmest temps and summer taste will arrive.
Expect mostly sunny skies both days and highs in the mid/upper 70s to low 80s and lows 55-60º.
Thursday starts to see some more moisture come into the region in the form of a partly sunny day with highs in the 70s, but by Friday more clouds will be stream into the region, as a frontal boundary to the west, and a storm to the south start to take shape and converge on the greater WMass region potentially for Saturday, which I know is terrible timing.
It’s too early to get a handle on Sunday just yet, but roughly speaking it does appear that another system or frontal boundary of some sort will be moving into the region by next Monday or Tuesday, which could cool us down considerably, so stay tuned for updates and have a great rest of your weekend!
>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
