>>> DAVE’S WEEKLY WEATHER NUTSHELL <<<
–No big whoop weather on the way, except for potentially Tuesday night into Wednesday
–Partly sunny on average today with highs in the 70s and a few isolated showers possible this afternoon, mostly dry
–Lows in the 50s tonight, showers quit
–Partly to mostly sunny Monday, highs 75-80º, low 50s
–Humidity increases Tuesday into Wednesday as an incoming trough shunts Hurricane Franklin well east and out to sea
–Surface fronts interact with tropical moisture and humid air to produce periods of showers and thunderstorms Tuesday and Wednesday, though timing is still not clearly clear
–A cold front sweeps this expected muggy morass out to sea and on northwest flow, wind should kick up a bit into Thursday with much drier and cooler air coming in late week with sunshine
–The weekend looks fairly nice at the moment, but I am expecting a resurgence of warmth and humidity for first week of September, but before we get into this afternoon’s severe weather details let’s check a note from our local weekend sponsor, #GerardGhazeyBatesPC, an estate planning law firm in Northampton, MA.

>>> MORNING DISCUSSION <<<
Good morning everybody, any fog that had formed earlier this morning has burned off or will burn off fairly quickly this morning.

Aside from an isolated shower or two this afternoon, most of us will be dry under partly to mostly sunny skies with highs in the 70s and humidity will be more tolerable than the past day or two.

Lows will dip into the mid to upper 50s.

Monday is looking even nicer with partly to mostly sunny and zero showers expected with continued comfortable humidity levels, highs 75-80º and lows in the 50s to near 60º.

By Tuesday, I will be watching to see how moisture north of Hurricane Franklin begins to interact with an incoming trough and associated fronts to our west.

Likely by afternoon, showers will be developing and some could be heavy at times, with thunderstorms possible into Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Highs will be in the 70s both days with lows in the 60s along with very humid conditions with dewpoints in the mid to upper 60s, so some patchy fog is expected at night.

A cold front will sweep the region by Wednesday night into very early Thursday morning, and with high pressure building in behind the front, some northwesterly breezes could kick up.

Bone dry air will be rushing into the region, and so fair weather is expected Thursday and Friday with highs in the low to mid 70s.

By the weekend, said high pressure likely starts to get south of us, and as such will create a southwesterly return flow that should warm some of us into the low 80s by next weekend’s end, along with increasing humidity.

And as we look way out to the following week, it is looking warmer and more humid with a few showers possible early that week, so stay tuned for updates.

Have a great day!

>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
